Matt Cook – Managing Director

Matt has specialised experience of managing online marketing campaigns for travel business.

After finishing a degree at Southampton Solent University, Matt’s journey in travel started out at TUI Travel in Port Solent (Portsmouth), co-ordinating all areas of digital marketing for Sunsail, Le Boat, Club Vass & The Moorings.

These niche brands each needed a specific marketing strategy, covering search, social and email.

Matt’s love of SEO started at this time, realising the potential return-on-investment Google provided.

As Global Product Lead for Sunsail, Matt was also responsible for prioritising development requests for the brand Worldwide.

Moving to Explore Worldwide in Farnborough as eCommerce Manager, a new website was the priority.

Focusing on developing an SEO-friendly site structure, combined with strong user-experience, delivered strong YoY improvements and proved the basis of success for the brand in search engines for years to come.

Most recently as Head of Marketing at Alpine Elements, Ocean Elements and iGO SKI, a role which enabled Matt to further develop knowledge of the ski and activity industry.

The brand went from strength to strength, seeing strong growth in search engine rankings, as well as from other sources.

Since starting Apollo, our aim has always been to ensure that our clients benefit from our years in the travel industry.
